Newborn Registrations

Registration and what you can expect.

Congratulations on the birth of your newborn!

As soon as you are ready you should register your newborn with the Teams Medical Practice. This can be done using the register with a GP surgery via the NHS website. or you can call in yo pick up registration forms from our reception.

Once we receive your registration, our team will be in contact to arrange appointment for you and your child to have their eight week examination. This will be with one of our GPs and the practice nurse to commence their vaccinations. From this appointment, further pre-booked appointments will be made to keep your newborn on the recommended vaccination programme. It is important that we have your newborn registered as soon as possible for us to commence this process.

Here is more information on the physical examination that us carried out. at the eight week appointment. Further information on the immunisations that your baby will receive can be found here.

Once your child is registered with the practice, they will be able to access GP services and NHS care. However, if you present and your newborn is not registered, a delayed in treatment may occur while we process their registration.
